Santa Susanna is once again at the epicenter of global fitness. From November 2 to 7, the town becomes the venue for the 2022 Bodybuilding, Fitness, Junior & Master World Championships, organized by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB).

Approximately 2,000 athletes and federation delegates from 96 countries will gather in this world championship which is considered the most important of the entire IFBB international calendar. Santa Susanna has taken responsibility, once again, for the organization in constant contact with the General Secretary of Sport of the Generalitat and the Consejo Superior de Deportes which depends on the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports.

In addition to the Fitness Championship, Santa Susanna is also the setting for the 2022 IFBB World Congress, which was inaugurated by the mayor, Joan Campolier, this Wednesday. The event is chaired by Rafael Santonha and brings together the representatives of the world elite of this sport such as the Sheikh of Fujairah, in the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Sharqi Fujairah.

The Santa Susanna project, world capital of fitness, was born in 2003 and to date more than 33 international championships have been held there and more than 50,000 elite athletes have competed.
