Shrine of Our Lady of Grace
Pujada de Gràcia, s/n, Santa Susanna
Another remarkable building in Santa Susanna is the hermitage of the Virgin of Grace, which stands in the municipal area and belongs to the parish of Santa Susanna, although it is owned by the neighbouring Pineda de Mar.
It was built on the initiative of a group of sailors in 1715, who implored the virgin to protect them from shipwrecks. It was sacked and burned in 1936, and again in 1973. In August 1981, it was restored at the request of the rector of Pineda, Ignasi Forcano, and its interior was covered with a magnificent allegorical mosaic of the sea and the mountains, the work of Josep Perpiñà and his pupils. (Jordi Amat i Teixidó).
