We illuminate the beach of the Dunes

La Platja de les Dunes has become an illuminated area. This space located next to the town of Pineda de Mar is widely used by the people of the town to do sports; above all, to run. The problem was that when it got dark and there was no lighting, this space lost some of its appeals. The mayor, Joan Campolier, had tried on more than one occasion to find a solution, without success. Now, through an aggregate purchase of the Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM) it has been possible to solve the problem and enable the area to improve its use at any time of the day.

At the Dunas beach, a 36-meter-high cylindrical streetlights have been installed, including 75 LED projectors and 10 watt beacons. In total, light has been put on 1 kilometer of the beach. In this way, a space structurally disabled to carry out activities or for citizen use at night is an attractive, safe, and conditioned area. Besides, the remodeling of the area is completed with the placement of 50 palm trees that give it a special, close, and welcoming atmosphere.
