The municipality has brought together thousands of players and supporters from France, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium and the Netherlands

Between October 16 and 23, Santa Susanna has once again become a nerve center and capital of competitive bocce. Two tests have brought thousands of players and their respective companions to the town.

The 20th International Pétanque Festival has gathered around 1,500 people, mainly French and to a lesser extent from Switzerland, who stayed from October 16 to 20 in Santa Susanna at the Aquamarina, Montagut and Onabrava hotels. One of the participants in this championship was the French Philippe Quintais. Considered one of the greatest specialists in pétanque, he is a player who competes in the Elite category and who has managed to be the world champion 13 times in addition to having won 40 medals in other categories.

The organization of this event was carried out by Latitude Sud Sport with the collaboration of Aqua Hotels.

And from the 18th to the 23rd of October, the town was the venue for the Passion Pétanque Française tournament (PPF Tour 2023). A championship that has had 1,700 participants and 1,500 companions from France, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium and Holland. The Santa Susanna tournament is part of one of the tests on the French pétanque circuit and is the only one that takes place outside the borders of France.

The participants stayed all these days in hotels in Santa Susanna. This tournament has been organized by Club Petanca Prat and Hotel Don Angel. Santa Susanna City Council has collaborated in both competitions.
