Santa Susanna’s challenge to achieve the Ecovidrio Hospitality Sustainability Green Flag

The mayor, Joan Campolier, and the Councilor for Sustainability, Sílvia Vives, explain the importance of making everyone aware of the commitment to recycle more and better glass containers.

The City Council of Santa Susanna and more than 35 hotel establishments in the municipality are working together to obtain the Ecovidrio Green Flag for sustainability this summer, which recognizes the destination that recycles the most glass and that makes the most of it. Santa Susanna competes with 34 other municipalities. Last year, the municipality obtained the fourth best score out of a total of 23 municipalities

The non-profit organization in charge of managing the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain is celebrating the fifth edition of #MovimentBanderesVerdes, which aims to value and recognize the commitment of local hospitality and town councils in the recycling of glass containers, environmental protection and progress towards sustainable development.
