28 de November de 2022The town becomes the nerve center of this sport with players coming mainly from Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland
The 18th International Pétanque Festival and the PPF International Tour 2022 Santa Susanna “Pota Blava” have brought to the town more than 4,500 participants and around 3,000 companions in just 9 days, which together represent more than 7,500 people. The coincidence of the two competitions, on two consecutive weekends, has meant that the municipality’s service sector has been able to extend the season a little longer.
The 18th International Festival took place from October 16 to 22 with the presence of athletes who mostly came from France. The company that organizes it, Latitude Sud Sport, has been bringing an event to Santa Susanna at the end of October for eighteen years, which serves to maintain the volume of visitors to the town. The PPF International Tour 2022 Santa Susanna “Blue Paw” was held this past weekend. In this case, the bulk of participants is more spread out. The majority are Spanish, French, Italian and Swiss athletes, but there are also some from other countries.
Within the PPF International Tour there are three competitions: the 12th International Men’s Triplets Championship; the 3rd Women’s Triplets Championship and the 2nd Doubles Youth Decathlon Championship. Els organitzadors, a més de l’Ajuntament de Santa Susanna, són la Federació Espanyola de Petanca, la Federació Catalana de Petanca i el Club el Prat, entre d’altres. All these events have been streamed online.
